A wooden plaque made from a board from the historic Brittain house, Saugatuck, Mich., built around 1865 razed 1967.
The plaque says,"Douglas the Village of Friendliness In the great state of Michigan Centennial August 17-22, 1970
1870-1970 on Lake Michigan.
