Diane was launched in 1965, indicating the label was from after that year. The Ferry Store, at the west shore chain ferry landing, had existed since the early 1900s. This particular iteration of the Ferry Store was associated with Roland E. Peterson and family.

When the label was framed when it arrived. The label was attached to the picture mat with masking tape. The tape has been removed but some dried adhesive residue remains on the back of the label.
