About the Event
For the third year, the History Center will transform itself with lighting and decorations into a spooktacular destination to socialize and party before the Douglas Halloween Parade for Adults.
The parade is an annual extravaganza of creativity in costuming and performing arts. Some folks spend months developing characters and practicing routines! This year marks the 26th anniversary of the parade, produced by Hystopolis Productions and Erin Wilkinson, whose mother, Ginger Wilkinson, started the event. The actual parade begins at 10:00 p.m., and the event can draw more than 10,000 people.
Start planning your costumes for our Costume Contest, presented by Lake Michigan Dermatology, with $1,000 in prizes for single/duo and group costumes, and get your picture taken by a local professional photographer for lasting memories for years to come! Attendees can also view the Pumpkin King parade puppet up close and pose for photographs before it comes to life to lead the parade. Enjoy a selection of local beer, wine, and spirits from our bar as you watch the contest from the Back-In-Time Garden on our outdoor movie projector!
Experience our exclusive VIP Room in our Boat Barn for specialty cocktails, beer, wine, and food from local businesses, all included in your ticket!
Tickets are on sale now for $10 (General Admission) or $60 (VIP Admission). Purchase yours today before they sell out – space is limited in the VIP room.
