Internships

The Museum and History Center have collaborated with several Michigan public universities to bring advanced pre-professional college students to work with our leadership to develop new and more diverse audiences for the study and enjoyment of local history. What was originally called the “Young Scholars Program” usually took the form of a ten-week summer internship. Among other duties, interns hosted events, supported the creation of exhibitions, helped process material for the archives, and assisted with research requests. They also gained experience in non-profit administration by working with our director and board.
