The Lure of Mount Baldhead
This exhibition highlights the iconic dune feature and why it has attracted people to our location. It explores Mount Baldhead’s history, natural formation, and cultural significance. Large-scale 360-degree panoramic photos by SDHC board member James Cook give soaring and accessible views from the dune’s summit. A recreated viewing tower provides visitors with a taste of the experience of climbing Mount Baldhead’s steps. There’s everything from Indigenous history to Cold War radar equipment!
