Pamela Tripp's studio is located in Lake County, Michigan in the heart of the Manistee National Forest. A professional artists for over 40 years, Pamela has exhibited her pastels, acrylics and watercolors and paper sculptures, in juried shows in the District of Columbia, Virginia, North Carolina, Alabama, Louisiana, Michigan, Indiana, Minnesota and Mississippi. According to the artist [see screenshot of email below] "The location of this Lake Michigan beach scene is near the Nordhouse Dunes Wilderness Area. My husband, Dale Simmons, managed the Lake Michigan Recreation Area campground which is adjacent to the Nordhouse Dunes Wilderness Area. I painted many scenes from our time spent there. The time period for this pastel would be from 1999-2003. I received several purchase awards at the Waterfront Art Fair in Saugatuck during that period." ... "I never wanted to give my landscapes titles as I wanted the scene to transport the viewer to wherever they wanted it to be."
