The Lloyd J. Harriss Pie Company and its successor the Rich's Pie Company were local manufacturers and employers. The company used the former Saugatuck Fruit Exchange building as their administrative headquarters. The site is Coghlin park today. The pie-making plant, across Culver Street, was later repurposed to the Saugatuck Center for the Arts.
