Object/Artifact
Brown or amber glass bottle with white metal screw cap. The bottle has flattened sides to create a squared-off shape. The front is covered with a paper label that lists R.J. Walker, M.C.'s hours and identifies the contents of the bottle as an [antimicrobial] Sulfathiazole Salve. The back of the bottle is embossed with the words "Physician's Sample". The bottom of the jar has a shield-shaped manufacturer's mark that includes P L and a trident.
The metal lid is painted white and printed on top with "Shake Well/May be thinned with water if desired" as well as "Lithographed in U.S.A." in tiny type on the side.
