Erma Schultz Fuller 06.00 Age: born May 9, 1909 (92 years of age) Address: Water Street, Douglas Grandaughter of Chistopher Schultz who came to America in 1852 and became a farmer in Douglas. The farm was located along Wiley Road where it meets Water Street (South side). He helped build the Douglas House (1863—during the Civil War), and her brother Frederick owned and lived in the Douglas house until it burned in 1934. Schultz Park was named for her cousin Howard. Daughter of George and Grace (Smalley) Schultz of Douglas. Her father George was a Great Lakes sailor, working the ore freighters for 40 years. Her mother, Grace, worked the freighters as well, as assistant cook. (?) One ship was named the JS Ashley. Until she was 15 her school vacations (Saugatuck School) were spent sailing the Great Lakes.
