Site # 1: Martell House (1884) 345 Grand Street,
Cindy and Matt Peterson
Built by a successful local boatbuilder. this Italianate home is NOTEWORTHY FOR IT’S FANCY WOODWORK AND GRACEFUL STYLE.
Site #2: Singapore house (1868) 996 Holland St.
Sylvia Randolph
The two-story portion of this house was built in Singapore in the 183Os AND MOVED TO SAUGATUCK ON THE frozen Kalamazoo Biver in 1868.
WHEN THE ONE-STORY ADDITION WAS BUILT TO THIS CHARMING HOUSE.

Saugatuck Woman’s Club (1933) Hoffman & Butler Sts.
Designed by Thomas Eddy Talmadge. THE ARCHITECT WHO DESIGNED COLONIAL Williamsburg, the building is REMINISCENT OF A WILLIAMSBURG CHAPEL.
Refreshments will be served at the woman’s club.

Site #4: Lion House (1867)

George Brown and Gregg Kurek Originally a farmhouse built in the GOTHIC REVIVAL STYLE. THIS
RICHLY DECORATED HOUSE INCLUDES COLONIAL REVIVAL ELEMENTS THAT WERE ADDED IN THE 192OS.
Site #5: Beech-hurst (1872) 121 Ferry St.
The Eddy Family
This Greek Revival orchard farmhouse, WITH ITS 1920 ADDITIONS, REMAINS VIRTUALLY AS IT WAS WHEN OCCUPIED BY A LOCAL TEACHER AND HER CIVIL WAR VETERAN HUSBAND.
Douglas Lakeshore:
These buildings represent classic Michigan lakeshore INTERPRETATIONS OF THE ARTS AND CRAFTS MOVEMENT.
Site #6: Alvord Cottage (1903) 310 Lakeshore Drive

A FREE-SPIRITED INTERPRETATION. THIS COTTAGE MAKES REFERENCE TO A VARIETY OF STYLES AND INCLUDES SOME FLIGHTS OF FANTASY.

Site #8: Lakeshore Chapel (1904) Lakeshore Drive & Campbell Road The chapel, with its cottage-like APPEARANCE AND BARN-STYLE WINDOWS. SHOWS HOW LOCAL COTTAGERS SOUGHT A HUMBLE STRUCTURE TO FEEL THE PRESENCE OF GOD IN NATURE.
