The "Illustrated Guide" includes photos, description an a 2-page "Map shows 29 places which have figured in Douglas History" The map is signed "Fox", possibly Saugatuck artist John Martin Fox. The 29 places in 1977 were : 1. Bridge 2. Barn below Gray Gables 3. Gray Gables 4. St. Peter's Church 5. Tara 6. Kirby House 7. Douglas Center (Chase Manufacturing) 8. Douglas Elementary School 9. Octagonal House 10. Community Church (Douglas ME. Church/Old Library) 11. Harborview 12. Old School Apartments (Douglas Union School) 13. Douglas Village Hall 14. First School building (now thought to be 2nd school building) 15. Fire Station 16. Douglas Party Store 17. Douglas Congregational Church U.C.C. 18. Martin Building 19. Kerr Building 20. Douglas Bakery 21. Phelps Drug Store 22. Douglas Dinette 23. Douglas Ballpark 24. Seventh Day Adventist Chruch 26. Foot of Center Street 27. Douglas Community Church 28. Dutcher House 29. Site of Douglas Basket Factory
