Wood Shingles
Object/Artifact
Shingles removed from the All Saints Church in Saugatuck. Around 2017, after years of adding new roofs on top of the old, the structure was striped down to its original materials, revealing these shingles. The wood is smooth and thin, suggesting they were sawed shingles rather than split shakes. Two rectangular, commemorative shingles are stamped with the name of the church.
