Armistice Wagon 1918
Photograph
A wagon is loaded with smiling ladies and girls holding United States flags and dressed for cold weather. The driver is likely Roger Reed. Two children with flags stand behind the wagon as if preparing to march in a parade. The Simonson Studio #1 is visible in the background as is the distinctive cement blocks of the Reed's Livery building.
This image was featured as History Mystery with the question "What is going on here in November 1918?" and the solution: "There was a joyous parade in celebration of the armistice ending WWI."
