This painting, depicting the stout ship's final hours before sinking in 1895, was commissioned by the SDHC for use in the 2002 exhibit "Storm, Fire and Ice" and companion publication. In 2012 the painting was reproduced as a mural for the Francis Lifeboat display and shipwreck exhibit in the History Center's garden
