In 2012 the painting was reproduced as a mural for the Francis Lifeboat display and shipwreck exhibit in the History Center's garden

Randall Higdon The Chicora 2002 | watercolor Randall Higdon is a long-time sailor and well-recognized contemporary Michigan artist with a studio in Coloma. This original painting was commissioned by the History Center in 2002 for the exhibit “Storm, Fire and Ice.” In 2012 it was reproduced as a 47-foot-long mural for the “Rowing Them Safely Home” exhibit in the History Center garden.
