Mt. Baldhead Radar CD2 photos 2017 Gustafson
Archive
CD containing full size (about 5MB each) and reduced versions (about 300KB each) photos of the Mt. Baldhead Radar Annex taken in 2017 by Chuck Gustafson using a Cannon 60D camera w/ EFS 18-135 lens
Also photos of radar parts that had been removed from the site by R.J. Peterson and were in the lunchroom at Tower Marine in 2017. Those parts were later donated to the SDHC and are on display at the Saugatuck-Douglas History Museum.
For comparison, images 4729 thru 4740 are of privately owned AN/FPS-18 radar at Emery, MI, just north of Ann Arbor. This is currently one of two gap fillers, other than the one here at Saugatuck, that still have tower and antenna and may (or may not) have equipment remaining inside.
