Example of citizens joining together to resist development. In the end, Flying J Inc. [headquartered in Ogden, Utah] abandoned its plans. The property in question, on the southwest corner of 63rd Street and the Blue Star Highway, is in Laketown Township but many residents of the Ravines in Saugatuck Township were concerned that their lifestyle and property values would be negatively impacted the development. LAND's officers were Glenn Hartson, Ellen Fitch and Dan Gibbons.
