Marjorie (MacDonald) Aplin, born 1909, recounts her family's ties to the Dykstra Funeral Home, the Basket Factory, indigenous people spending the summers by the Swing Bridge, the Interurban railroad, dancing at the Big Pavilion, "Teddy" Flint's store on Butler St., Isadore Schuham's "good goods", her grandfather H.A. MacDonald's property, Bud Kirby's red Buick touring car, childhood memories, local grocery stores, and her high school sophomore year automobile accident at the foot of the Allegan Hill that left her unconscious for 21 days.
