A. Flat, oval-shaped piece of anthracite coal, found on beach by Lakeshore Motel in Douglas. Thought to be dropped from a steam-powered boat. 4.5x4x1.5 inches
B. Brick-shaped piece of coal donated to the museum on 10/4/2009 with note "Loretta brought in this brick of coal, a neighbor of hers found along Lake MI shore in the 1980s." Loretta is Loretta Waunetta Gauthier of Fennville. 5x3x3 inches
