The Common Framework West Michigan

2021.41.28
The West Michigan Strategic Alliance describes itself on Guidestar.org as being launched in June 2000 as "a collaborative effort by governmental units, businesses, institutions and private citizens to create a common regional vision for the next 25 years." As of 2025, the website https://wm-alliance.org/ was no longer used by the non-profit alliance. The data-heavy book describes the 2002 economic context of the West Michigan Metro Tri-plex on the global, continental, super-regional, West Michigan regional and Metro Tri-plex scale, describes Tri-plex "essential activities" (environment, economic development, tourism, arts/history, education/research, health/human services, land use/urbanization/demographics, transportation/logistics, infrastructure, governance) and concludes with priorities for regional collaboration.
