School snapshots 1940-1950s

Photographs of school friends collected by Sandra (Finch) Edson, then known as Sandra Finch. The photos are taped to six sheets of white paper and slid inside plastic sleeves. The names or notes about the people pictured are handwritten on the paper. Many photos are dated from the late 1940s to the early 1950s and show students born in the 1930s. The photos are posed, seated portraits or casual snapshots of teens at the beach, picnicking, sitting or leaning on cars, playing cards at a birthday party, cheerleaders cheering, and basketball teams or groups of students lined up.
