The art club provided the Saugatuck Center for the Arts with $10,000.00 to supply an art studio with collapsible tables, stools, counter, cabinets, paper cutters, drawing boards and mobile media carts provided in the funding. The newly outfitted room will operate as a general studio for meetings, demonstrations and classes. Art Club has donated funds annually to the SCA to help pay mortgage and building operations. The city asked the Art Club to put on an art fair inside the unfinished building. Area artists and two galleries participated. Sixty per cent of booth fees went to the SCA and the Art Club had the rest of the funds for scholarships for Saugatuck High School Students.
