About the Event

In 1854, C. C. Wallin bought the water-powered tannery along what was known as “Tannery Creek” in Dingleville. His son, Franklin Wallin, managed the tannery, and after he married Orcelia Tanner in 1859, he built his bride an impressive new home along the creek, which still runs through the Clearbrook Golf Course.

Over 167 years and ten owners, the home grew in size and style. Fairview has recently been purchased by Martin Horner and Ryan Vogt, of Wickwood Inn, who have completely renovated this gracious old home, giving it high style and the promise of many more decades.
