Butler Pantry – 439 Butler Street, Saugatuck

You’re invited to the spring kickoff of the History Center’s “On Location” series on Thursday, March 5th. The series invites attendees to gather in unique spaces and places for an exclusive view of the area’s historical richness. This evening series pairs drinks and refreshments with an informal and engaging history tour. Join us on select Thursdays this spring to (re)discover historic cottages, businesses, and institutions across the Lakeshore area.

The first program in the series will be hosted at The Butler Pantry, 439 Butler Street in Saugatuck, on Thursday, March 5th from 5-7 pm. This first location is open to all, free of charge. Located in the historic Koning (and later Wilkins) Hardware building built in 1904, the event features drinks and light bites provided by The Butler Pantry owners Stephanie and Kevin Burt. Housed in a historic storefront, The Pantry offers gourmet foods and quality kitchenware. The Italianate brick building was built in 1904 after the previous store was destroyed by fire. At the time it featured the village’s largest plate glass windows and one of Michigan’s earliest counterweight elevators.

This On Location event is free and open to all.
