End of the Line: The Interurban Railway to Saugatuck
Chris Clark will discuss what led to the Interurban’s inception in 1899, how it worked, and what drew people to use the electric train service. Then he’ll explain the changes that occurred in 1913, why the service was discontinued in 1926, and what remains today. There will be lots of pictures!
