Two drawings and three paintings by Jessie M. (Wright) House, spouse of Harvey Lathrop House.
1. Graphite on heavy card titled "A View at Annmooka" [Tonga] signed "J.M. Wright, New Haven, N.Y, 1848" 14.5x17.5"
Scene of Pacific islanders in canoes, on beach and gathered around dwellings. Artist was 16 years old.
2. Graphite on heavy card titled "Lake Scene" signed "Jessie M. Wright, New Haven, N.Y., 1850" 14.5x18"
A hunter gazes across a body of water at two deer on a peninsula, out of range.
3. Gouache on heavy card. Pastoral road scene dated May 24th, 1900, inscription scrubbed out. Signed "Mrs. H. L. House."
4. Asian scene of sailboats, cottages and mountain. "Mrs. H. L. House 1832-1910" is written on the back in pencil.
